Check out what's new + an exciting announcement

Dream Team Royale was updated again! With this version comes a better and more efficient user interface. There are also now more characters available from the in-app store. In addition, there were some background changes to the game that have set it up for something exciting. Keep reading to find out what! What's New This update brings in new, easier to use navigation. The "how to play" information has been condensed onto one page that you can scroll through. The characters and store pages are also now scrollable lists. After the last update, which enabled you to change your profile name, we got some complaints that Xbox users were unable to navigate to the name-changing feature. We have now fixed that, so it will work for everyone. Also, there are now four new characters in the store. They are the Masked Red, Masked Blue, Masked Striped Yellow, and Masked Transparent Fish Blimps.

They can all be purchased for $0.99 individually, or, for a limited time, you can get Maske…

Recap of all Dream Team Royale features announced so far

Characters

So far, there have been two characters publicly shared, with at least four more planned to be added before the release.

The first character announced was the Fish Blimp, who is also the main character. There are twenty different Fish Blimps, all of whom are unlocked for free the first time you play the game. Here is a Fish Blimp:

That one is named Red, and is the most important of them all.

The other character that has been announced is the Cat in the Box. To unlock all twenty Cats in the Box, you need to achieve fifty wins. Then, they will all be available for your use. The main Cat in the Box is named Axel, and is pictured right here:

Elements

In Dream Team Royale, there are three elements. Those would be Walls, Hiding Places, and Nightmares.

Walls are basic black lines scattered around the map. Any player can pick one up by shooting it to destroy it, and, once you have picked one up, they can be used to stop someone from shooting at you by placing it, which can be done by hitting the 'w' key.

Hiding Places are over sized sheets of metal the prevent bullets from hitting you when you are behind one. And, unlike Walls, Hiding Places are indestructible. However, they do randomly teleport themselves around the map so you cannot camp behind one for too long. Five and only five Hiding Places are found in one game.

Unlike Walls and Hiding Places, Nightmares are not useful. In fact, they are the exact opposite, because they take away half of your health on collision with one and trap you for ten seconds. Nightmares are very large, but they are also predictable, so you can be aware when one is coming soon. There is a timer in the top-right corner that counts down from two minutes. When it reaches zero, one Nightmare appears.

Power Ups

So far, we have shared three power ups with you, with at least four more to come.

The first power up is the Speed Boost. They are simple crates that, when you collide with one, your speed increases by 100% to 250% more. The extra speed stays with you for five seconds, then you are reset to your default. Here is a Speed Boost crate:

The second power up that you may have heard of is the Stopwatch. Stopwatches make other power ups, for example the Speed Boost or Damage Deflector (which we will get to soon), last for a longer period of time. Stopwatches are capable of adding five to fifteen seconds to any power up. This is what a Stopwatch looks like:

The third and final power up for today is the Damage Deflector. Damage Deflectors cause bullets to deflect off of you, and do less damage. They are found around the world as blue outlines. If one is around someone and moving with them, that Damage Deflector is attached to them and with make anything you shoot at them bounce off. When they redirect, they also turn blue. If one does not have a player inside of it, you can run into it and press 'd' any time you like to use it.
